Gabbard Accuses Biden Administration of Ignoring Sexually Explicit Content on Intelligence Agency Messaging Boards
Former Congresswoman and newly appointed Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has ignited a firestorm of controversy, accusing the Biden administration of turning a blind eye to rampant sexually explicit and unprofessional chatter on internal messaging boards within national intelligence agencies. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital following President Donald Trump’s first Cabinet meeting, Gabbard revealed that whistleblowers from the National Security Agency (NSA) had reported the inappropriate conduct through official channels during the Biden administration, only to be dismissed.
Gabbard asserted that the Biden administration was fully aware of the disturbing content for years but allowed it to persist. "I’ve had whistleblowers come forward just in the last few days who work in the [National Security Agency] and who said, ‘Hey, we saw this, and we reported it through official channels under the Biden administration,’" she stated. "And essentially they were told this is no issue, step aside."
The new DNI attributed the proliferation of these chatrooms to the Biden administration’s unwavering focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. According to Gabbard, the chatrooms were established as a direct consequence of these DEI initiatives. She claimed that the discussions had been ongoing for approximately two years, creating a toxic and unprofessional environment within the intelligence community.
Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for both President Biden and former DNI Avril Haines for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.
Gabbard emphasized the swift action taken under her leadership, stating that the chatrooms were immediately shut down following President Trump’s executive order eliminating DEI programs across the federal government. Furthermore, she directed the agencies under her purview to terminate the employees involved in the inappropriate discussions, a number that exceeded 100 individuals. In addition to their termination, Gabbard ordered the revocation of their security clearances, underscoring the severity of their actions and the potential threat to national security.
"The employees who were part of the chats violated the trust that the American people placed in them to work in these highly sensitive jobs that are directly related to national security," Gabbard explained. She emphasized the critical importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the intelligence community, arguing that the inappropriate conduct undermined public trust and potentially compromised national security.
Gabbard also shed light on the significant financial resources allocated to DEI initiatives within intelligence agencies during the Biden administration. She suggested that the focus on DEI had diverted resources away from critical national security priorities. "We’re just scratching the surface here regarding how much money, time and resources have been spent on DEI in intelligence agencies," she said.
According to Gabbard, the elimination of the DEI center established under the Biden administration resulted in immediate savings of nearly $20 million for taxpayers. An additional $3 to 4 million was saved by canceling various DEI conferences that employees would travel to, further highlighting the financial burden associated with these initiatives.
The explosive allegations come as Gabbard joins a Cabinet assembled by President Trump, which also includes billionaire and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) advisor Elon Musk. Gabbard described the atmosphere at the Cabinet meeting as energetic, noting that many of the officials are friends and are inspired by Trump and Musk’s rapid and decisive approach to DOGE.
The controversy surrounding DEI programs in the federal government is not new. Critics argue that these programs can lead to reverse discrimination and prioritize identity politics over merit. Supporters, however, contend that DEI initiatives are essential for creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
Gabbard’s claims are likely to fuel further debate about the role and impact of DEI programs within the government, particularly within sensitive agencies such as those within the intelligence community. Her accusations raise serious questions about the oversight and management of these agencies under the previous administration and the potential consequences for national security.
Republican Senator Tom Cotton, a prominent voice on national security issues, has already expressed strong support for Gabbard’s actions, indicating that the issue will likely be a focus of congressional scrutiny in the coming months. Cotton, who is seeking re-election to the Senate in 2026, is expected to use his platform to demand greater accountability and transparency within the intelligence community.
The allegations made by Gabbard have the potential to trigger a wide-ranging investigation into the culture and practices within national intelligence agencies. The focus will likely be on whether the Biden administration adequately addressed the reported misconduct and whether DEI policies contributed to a decline in professionalism and a compromise of national security standards.
The unfolding situation promises to be a significant test for the new Trump administration and its commitment to reforming the federal government. Gabbard’s actions suggest a willingness to challenge the status quo and implement reforms aimed at restoring public trust and ensuring the integrity of the intelligence community. The debate over DEI programs, their impact on government agencies, and their potential implications for national security is far from over.
