NZXT Unveils New RGB Fans and Revamped H7 Flow Case at Computex 2024

NZXT, a company renowned for its minimalist and aesthetically pleasing PC components, has made waves at Computex 2024 with the introduction of new products that cater to both performance and visual appeal. True to form, NZXT unveiled a fresh take on RGB fans and a redesigned version of its popular H7 Flow case.

F-Series RGB Core Fans: Simplified Aesthetics

The new F-Series RGB Core fans – including the F240 RGB Core, F280 RGB Core, and F360 RGB Core – represent a streamlined approach to RGB lighting and cable management. These fans feature a single-frame design, integrating two 120mm, two 140mm, or three 120mm fans, respectively, into a single unit. This innovative design echoes the functionality of modular or daisy-chained fans, requiring only a single cable for both lighting and power when paired with the upcoming NZXT Control Hub. Alternatively, users can employ a splitter cable to connect to the 5V ARGB and fan headers on a compatible motherboard.

While the concept of single-frame fans isn’t entirely new, NZXT’s commitment to cleaner cabling within its ecosystem is a significant step forward for enthusiasts. The single-frame design allows for easy installation and fewer cables to manage, leading to a cleaner aesthetic inside the PC case. Previously, NZXT users had to choose between standard RGB fans with individual cables or venture outside the NZXT ecosystem and grapple with multiple software programs to control RGB hardware. The F-Series RGB Core fans eliminate this dilemma, offering a unified solution within the NZXT ecosystem.

NZXT highlights that these fans are designed for both high airflow and high static pressure, making them versatile for any location within the PC case. This balance is crucial, as airflow ensures effective cooling, while static pressure allows the fans to push air through restrictive components like radiators and heatsinks. This versatility removes the need for meticulous planning regarding fan placement and optimization.

Redesigned H7 Flow Case: Enhanced Cooling and Aesthetics

Alongside the new fans, NZXT also unveiled a revamped version of its popular H7 Flow case. This revision includes a retooled layout that allows for the installation of up to three 120mm bottom-mounted fans. This enhancement is made possible by a vertically oriented power supply, which frees up space at the bottom of the case.

In addition, the updated H7 Flow features three pre-installed 120mm fans at the front, compared to the two found in the previous version. This increase in the number of front-mounted fans improves airflow and cooling performance, particularly for components like the CPU and GPU.

For users seeking a complete solution, NZXT will offer an RGB variant of the refreshed H7 Flow with an F360 RGB Core fan pre-installed. This combination provides both enhanced cooling and customizable RGB lighting.

The H7 Flow case already features a mesh front panel that promotes airflow. The addition of bottom-mounted fans and an extra front fan further enhances the case’s cooling capabilities, allowing users to optimize their system’s thermals. The updated design aims to create a more efficient airflow path within the case.

Pricing and Availability

The NZXT F240 RGB Core will be available for $45, the F280 for $50, and the F360 for $70. These fans are expected to launch this month. For those who want to use the fans with the upcoming NZXT Control Hub, they will have to wait until Q3 2024. The Control Hub will be sold for $50.

The standard version of the H7 Flow case is currently available on the NZXT website for $130. The RGB Core model will launch later this month and will be available for $150.

Overall Impression

NZXT’s announcements at Computex 2024 reflect its commitment to providing high-performance, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly PC components. The F-Series RGB Core fans offer a streamlined approach to RGB lighting and cable management, while the redesigned H7 Flow case provides enhanced cooling capabilities and a more visually appealing design.

These products cater to the needs of PC enthusiasts who prioritize both performance and aesthetics. NZXT continues to innovate and refine its product offerings, solidifying its position as a leading brand in the PC component market.
The attention to detail in cooling and simplified cable management sets it apart from other brands. The balance between airflow and static pressure ensures the fans are functional in a variety of setups. The vertical mounting of the PSU is a smart design choice that is sure to free up space and improve airflow.
The price point is on par with other high quality fans and cases on the market. The NZXT ecosystem gives users a unified experience within their builds.
Overall, this is an exciting release for users who are looking to upgrade their build or build a new PC from scratch.
