Deadly Snowfall on A6 Highway Leaves Multiple Severely Injured
Crailsheim, Germany – Treacherous snow conditions have resulted in two catastrophic accidents on the A6 Autobahn in the Schwäbisch Hall district, leading to multiple severe injuries.
First Accident: Reckless Driving in Blizzard
The first accident occurred near Crailsheim, where a 32-year-old driver ignored the perilous weather conditions and sped recklessly. As a consequence, his vehicle skidded out of control and crashed into the median guardrail. The car then careened off the right side of the road and collided with a tree, causing it to overturn.
Out of the seven passengers in the vehicle, three sustained serious injuries, while the remaining four escaped with minor ones. All occupants were transported to local hospitals for medical attention. The severity of the impact necessitated a complete closure of the A6 in the direction of Nuremberg.
Second Accident: Loss of Control Amidst Poor Visibility
The second accident transpired near Braunsbach, where a 36-year-old driver likewise lost control due to poor weather and excessive speed. His vehicle slammed into the median guardrail before crashing into a truck parked in a lay-by.
The driver was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries. This incident also led to the closure of the A6 towards Nuremberg.
