According to provisional figures released by the state’s Statistical Office, the region recorded 31.5 million overnight stays from January to November 2023, marking a 2.2% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
This upswing in tourism activity brings Mecklenburg-Vorpommern closer to the record-breaking levels witnessed in 2019, when 32.7 million overnight stays were recorded during the same period from January to November. Notably, the total number of overnight stays in 2019 reached an impressive 34.1 million.
