On February 15, 2025, the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, LLC, based in Keaau, Hawaii, issued a voluntary product recall for a batch of its macadamia nut pouches due to the presence of undeclared almonds, a known allergen. The affected product is the 1-ounce pouch of Mauna Loa Milk Chocolate Covered Macadamias.

Reason for Recall

The recall was initiated after the company’s internal quality control process identified the presence of undeclared almonds in the affected batch. The batch was manufactured by a third-party co-manufacturer.

The lot number and best by date are located on the back of the packaging.
