Kaanapali, Maui (Hawaii) – A major explosion rocked The Whaler Resort on Kaanapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii, on Thursday night, leaving several individuals injured and requiring immediate medical attention.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. (HST), a blast occurred within a set of condos at the popular beach resort. According to the Maui Police Department, officers responded to an emergency call reporting a "miscellaneous accident" at the address on Kāʻanapali Parkway.
