  • General Information: Only general inquiries regarding wage tax (Lohnsteuer) and income tax (Einkommensteuer) will be handled via the dedicated info hotline: 0800 998 0 997. This line will be operational from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Despite the temporary closure, taxpayers can still access certain services:

  • Physical Submissions: Tax returns and other correspondence can be submitted as usual via the office mailboxes.
  • Online Submissions: Electronic filing through MeinELSTER (www.elster.de) will remain available 24/7.
