The TikToker claims that the alleged assault occurred in 2023 when she was 19 years old.
Gatto, 48, issued a statement addressing the claims, acknowledging instances of poor judgment but firmly refuting the accusations of sexual assault. "I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most," Gatto stated. "But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone."
He continued, stating that he is committed to personal growth and will be taking a step back from the public eye to focus on self-improvement. "Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to."
The allegations made by joozyb paint a disturbing picture of events that allegedly transpired after she met Gatto at a brunch in 2023. According to her account, Gatto invited her to attend his comedy show that evening. Following the performance, she alleges that she visited him at his hotel.
While refraining from providing explicit details of the alleged encounter, joozyb stated that she doesn’t "want any girl to feel the way he made her feel." In her initial TikTok video, which exceeded ten minutes in length, she shared several photos of herself with the comedian, along with screenshots of alleged text messages between them. Adding to the gravity of her accusations, joozyb shared a photo of a large bruise on her bottom, which she alleges was inflicted by Gatto "with his teeth." Furthermore, she posted a video, purportedly taken after she left the hotel room, which displayed a time stamp of 2:26 AM on September 9, 2023.
In a subsequent TikTok video, joozyb addressed comments from individuals expressing skepticism about her story. She firmly defended her claims, stating, "I’m sorry if you don’t want to believe it, but the people you idolize are not always going to be good."
