Bayern Munich Extend Jamal Musiala’s Contract to 2030
Bayern Munich have secured the future of their exceptional talent Jamal Musiala by extending his contract until mid-2030. The extension puts to rest any lingering speculation about the highly sought-after midfielder’s future just a day before Bayern’s crucial Bundesliga clash with title rivals Bayer Leverkusen.
"Top clubs around the world are looking for difference-makers – and Jamal Musiala stands out even among them. He shapes the present of FC Bayern, he will also shape the future, and he is a face of our new generation," said Sport Director Max Eberl.
Musiala’s previous contract was set to expire in June 2026, but his remarkable performances have prompted Bayern to secure his services for the long term. The 21-year-old’s market value is estimated to be well over €100 million.
"People go to the stadium because of Jamal Musiala. He is an absolute exceptional player. Sometimes you get the feeling that gravity doesn’t apply to him. Compliments to our sporting management and the board," said Bayern President Herbert Hainer. "Today is a very good day for FC Bayern."
Musiala is poised to become a defining figure for Bayern, both on and off the pitch. He has already established himself as a key player for club and country, and alongside Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, who he will face on Saturday, he is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in German football.
"FC Bayern is one of the most important clubs in the world. It’s where I took my first steps into professional football, and I’m convinced that I can achieve great things with this club in the coming years," said Musiala about his new contract.
Musiala joined Bayern’s youth academy from Chelsea in 2019 and quickly progressed to the first team. His exceptional dribbling skills and ability to create chances have made him a pivotal player for both Bayern and Germany.
Internationally, Musiala is touted as one of the players who could potentially become a world-class superstar and win the Ballon d’Or. He possesses the talent and potential to emulate the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
While many top clubs would have lined up to sign Musiala, he has always expressed his desire to stay at Bayern. The club has been working diligently on extending his contract, which was a top priority. Musiala is expected to receive a significant salary increase, elevating him to the ranks of Bayern’s highest earners. Rumors of a release clause have been circulating, but the club has declined to comment on the matter.
Despite being only 21 years old, Musiala has already played in nearly 200 competitive matches for Bayern, scoring over 50 goals. He has also represented Germany 38 times since switching his international allegiance in February 2021.
With Musiala’s contract extension, Bayern Munich have secured one of their most promising players and sent a clear message that they intend to remain a dominant force in both domestic and European football for years to come.
