Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi Implores Global Action Against Islamic Republic Regime

Geneva, Switzerland – Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has issued a passionate plea for global intervention to combat the oppressive regime of the Islamic Republic, asserting that the regime is at its most vulnerable and the Iranian people are determined to reclaim their nation.

Addressing the Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy on Tuesday, Pahlavi painted a chilling portrait of Iran under the iron-fisted rule of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He characterized the country as "a nation in chains," with its people subjected to decades of suffering and deprivation.

Unwavering Spirit Amid Oppression

Despite the adversity they have endured, Pahlavi emphasized the indomitable spirit of the Iranian people. "They are fighting not just for themselves but for the values of freedom, justice, and human dignity," he declared, his voice heavy with emotion.

The crown prince’s father, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was overthrown in 1979, forcing the royal family to flee into exile as Islamist forces seized power. Pahlavi himself has lived in exile ever since, unable to return to his homeland.

Strategic Plan for Liberation

Pahlavi presented a comprehensive strategy for rebuilding Iran that revolves around two key pillars:

  1. Maximum Pressure on the Regime: G20 governments must intensify economic and diplomatic pressure on the regime to compel it to make concessions.

  2. Maximum Support for the Iranian People: The international community must provide tangible support to those within Iran who are risking their lives to overthrow the regime, particularly the courageous women of Iran.

Pahlavi lauded the Iranian women’s movement, highlighting their struggle for equality and dignity. "Their fight is not about a piece of cloth [the forced hijab]," he asserted. "It is about reclaiming their country."

Protecting Dissidents Abroad

Pahlavi also denounced the Islamic Republic’s systematic targeting of dissidents abroad through its embassies and cultural centers. He pointed to the alleged plots to assassinate former President Donald Trump and Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad as evidence of the regime’s ruthlessness.

‘Cyrus Accords’ for a Free Iran

Inspired by the Abraham Accords, Pahlavi proposed the "Cyrus Accords," a diplomatic initiative that would facilitate a comprehensive peace agreement between Iran and its neighbors, including the United States. He believes the accords could pave the way for a free and democratic Iran, transforming the Middle East and the world.

Global Responsibility for Intervention

Pahlavi concluded his address with an urgent call for global action. "The time for complacency is over," he implored. "We have a moral and strategic responsibility to stand with the Iranian people in their fight for freedom."

The Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy, where Pahlavi spoke, provides a platform for dissidents and activists to expose human rights violations and advocate for democratic principles.
