Mid-Term Break in Saxony: Half of a Million Students Receive Progress Reports
On Friday, February 14th, over half a million students in Saxony will receive their mid-term progress reports, marking the end of the first half of the school year. The reports will be followed by a two-week winter break.
"Now it’s time to sleep in, recharge your batteries, and enjoy time with family and friends," said Minister of Education Conrad Clemens (CDU). "This will provide the necessary impetus to start the second half of the school year with renewed energy."
As in previous years, a Zeugnishotline (transcript hotline) will be available on Friday from 11 am to 4 pm. Experts will be on hand to provide guidance on grades. "No one should start their winter break with unanswered questions or feeling unhappy," said Clemens. The mid-term reports allow students and parents to take stock of their progress so far.
A total of 526,350 students in Saxony will receive progress reports. Of these, 153,200 attend primary schools, 20,100 attend special schools, 124,150 attend secondary schools, and approximately 113,000 attend grammar schools.
