Conservative Influencer Seeks Paternity Recognition from Elon Musk

Paternity Petition and Custody Battle

Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair has filed a petition in the New York Supreme Court to legally establish tech billionaire Elon Musk as the father of her child and to seek full custody. The legal action comes after St. Clair, 26, publicly disclosed on X in May 2025 that she had secretly given birth to a child allegedly fathered by Musk five months prior.

In the petition, St. Clair alleges that she entered into a romantic relationship with Musk in May 2023 and that they conceived a child during a trip to St. Barts in January 2024. She claims to have had exclusive sexual relations with Musk during the time of conception.

Alleged Parental Negligence

After giving birth in September 2024, St. Clair states that she sent Musk a photo of herself and the infant, to which he allegedly replied with, "I look forward to seeing you and him this weekend." She also alleges that Musk later acknowledged paternity in a conversation surrounding safety concerns, stating, "If I make a mistake on security, [redacted] will never know his father."

Despite the alleged acknowledgment, St. Clair claims that Musk has only visited the child three times, has not been involved in his care, and has not requested custody. She asserts that she has been the sole parent and caretaker of the child since its birth and that Musk has not provided any financial support.

Previous Attempts at Resolution

St. Clair’s attorneys state that they attempted to resolve the paternity issue privately with Musk, but their efforts were unsuccessful due to his lack of responsiveness. They now seek court intervention to establish legal recognition of paternity and to determine parental rights and responsibilities.

Musk’s Public Response

Elon Musk has not publicly commented on the matter but responded to a post on X that accused St. Clair of plotting to ensnare him with the words, "Whoa." St. Clair responded by saying she had been trying to reach out to him regarding the paternity claim but had not received a response.

Previous Custody Disputes with Musk

If paternity is established, St. Clair would become the mother of Musk’s 13th child. Musk has faced similar legal challenges in the past. In October 2023, singer Claire Boucher, known professionally as Grimes, filed a petition in California to establish parental relationships with her three children with Musk. That dispute was settled in Texas in August 2024.

Boucher’s Recent Concerns

On Friday, Boucher took to X to raise concerns about the well-being of one of their children, claiming that Musk was not responding to her messages or calls and that their child was suffering from a medical emergency. The post has since been deleted.

Media Coverage and Public Interest

The paternity petition and custody battle have garnered significant media attention and public interest. Tabloid reporters have closely followed the developments, and Musk’s social media comments on the matter have further fueled speculation.

Next Steps

The New York Supreme Court is expected to review St. Clair’s petition and schedule a hearing to determine the next steps in the case. Pending a decision on paternity, the court will consider the best interests of the child and the respective parental rights and responsibilities of St. Clair and Musk.
