Increased Investment in Military Infrastructure

We made significant progress in this area in 2024, but we must intensify our efforts." Major Construction Project
The largest construction project for the armed forces in Hesse is currently the construction of new accommodations using a modular wooden construction method in the Georg-Friedrich-Kaserne in Fritzlar. According to Nancy Sprock-Mahlo, head of the Bundeswehr’s Baumanagement Competence Center in Wiesbaden, the project aims to expedite the construction of "259 individual rooms in hotel standard."
Additional Expenditure
The Hessian Ministry of Finance also noted that the federal government is expected to provide additional construction funds for the Bundeswehr in Hesse in the coming years. These funds are intended to support infrastructure upgrades and expansions at military facilities throughout the state.
