But, you know, this spirit of resilience and tenacity, it’s overwhelming," he said, adding, "You got to stay supremely positive and stay prayed up and just do nice things for people and you’ll make it through, we promise you. DJ’s dream of becoming a police officer has been fueled by the kindness and support he has received from law enforcement officers throughout his journey. "They helped us. So I became one.
