Berentzen Reports Slight Revenue Decline, Boosted EBIT in 2024
Haselünne, Germany – Beverage manufacturer Berentzen Group has announced a preliminary revenue dip for the 2024 fiscal year, alongside an improved earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT).
Revenue Dip Attributed to Market Challenges
Preliminary figures indicate that Berentzen’s revenue for 2024 amounted to €181.9 million, a slight decrease from €185.7 million in the previous year. According to company management, this revenue setback primarily stems from declining sales volumes and the divestment of the Grüneberg production facility and associated mineral water brands.
Improved Profitability Driven by Product Margins
Despite the revenue decline, Berentzen reported a notable improvement in its EBIT, which amounted to €10.6 million in 2024, up from €7.7 million in the previous year. CEO Oliver Schwegmann attributed this increase primarily to improved product margins, highlighting the company’s efforts to enhance its profitability.
"Our focus on optimizing our product mix and increasing our cost efficiency has enabled us to achieve a more favorable earnings position," Schwegmann said.
