Germany’s Next Topmodel Returns with Weekly Double-Episode Premiere

Germany’s Next Topmodel Embarks on a Revolutionary Season with Dual Weekly Episodes

"Germany’s Next Topmodel" (GNTM), the renowned ProSieben reality show, is breaking new ground in its 20th season, requiring fans to tune in on two separate evenings each week for six weeks. The show’s host and model scout, Heidi Klum, revealed that the number of exceptional applicants prompted this unprecedented scheduling change.

To accommodate the abundance of talented individuals, the season will be divided into two parts. From February 13th, Wednesdays will be dedicated to the "Boys Only" episodes, followed by the traditional Thursday broadcasts of the competition in its entirety from March 27th onwards.

In this milestone season, GNTM has assembled a star-studded guest roster to inspire and guide the aspiring models. Heidi Klum’s daughter, Leni Klum, will kick off the season, followed by supermodel Naomi Campbell, runway icons Adriana Lima and Anok Yai, actor Sebastian Ströbel, the entertainment twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz, international star Catherine Deneuve, photographer Rankin, and 60s legend Twiggy.

Reflecting on the show’s journey since its inception in 2006, Heidi Klum shared the challenges and rewards of juggling motherhood with the demands of "GNTM." As a young mother, often pregnant or nursing, she found it difficult to balance her responsibilities.

"My days always started tired because I breastfed at night," Klum recounted to "Stern" magazine. "And during shooting breaks too. I was exhausted and couldn’t be sure in the evening what I had actually said all day."

Klum’s experience as a working mother evoked feelings of guilt and a sense of being torn between her commitments. Nevertheless, she persevered and has raised four children from two relationships: Leni (20), Henry (19), Johan (18), and Lou Sulola (15).

The production of this season faced an unexpected disruption due to the devastating wildfires near Los Angeles, causing a delay in filming. However, this setback has not affected the duration or quality of the episodes that viewers will see. As customary, a significant portion of each "Germany’s Next Topmodel" season is filmed in California.

In addition to the dual weekly episodes and celebrity guests, this season promises to deliver exciting challenges, stunning transformations, and emotional journeys as the contestants strive to achieve their modeling dreams. With Heidi Klum’s guidance and the support of a distinguished panel of judges, one aspiring model will emerge victorious and crowned "Germany’s Next Topmodel."
