In both Berlin and Brandenburg, sole proprietorships emerged as the preferred legal form for business registrations. German nationals filed 55.9% of such registrations in Berlin, while the proportion rose to 81.2% in Brandenburg. Notably, Poles constituted the largest group among non-German nationals in both states (Berlin: 10.7%; Brandenburg: 3.5%), followed by Romanians (4.4%; 2.1%).
