Martha Stewart, Amanda Seyfried, and Jodie Turner-Smith Steal the Show at Tory Burch

Martha Stewart’s Starry Night at New York Fashion Week

Amidst the glittering lights and sartorial splendor of New York Fashion Week, a renowned lifestyle icon graced the front row with her inimitable presence: Martha Stewart. Her arrival at the Tory Burch show on Monday night sent waves of excitement through the audience, as she exuded timeless elegance in a monochromatic ensemble that shimmered under the spotlight.

Stewart’s outfit was a symphony of earthy tones, featuring a shimmering mid-tone brown coat adorned with tiny sequins. Beneath it, she wore a chocolate brown satin blouse, adding a touch of sophistication to the look. To complete her ensemble, she donned a pair of dark gold peep-toe pumps, elevating her style to new heights.

Flanked by the enigmatic actresses Amanda Seyfried and Jodie Turner-Smith, Stewart commanded attention as photographers clamored to capture her every move. She was perhaps returning the favor, as Burch had attended the New York premiere of Stewart’s Netflix documentary, "Martha," in October.

Seyfried radiated in a shimmering white skirt set, paired with black accessories and her hair swept up in a chic ponytail. Turner-Smith, on the other hand, exuded a touch of bohemian flair with a belted brown top, gray trousers, yellow snakeskin pointed-toe heels, and a merlot-toned purse that complemented her belt.

Stewart, Seyfried, and Turner-Smith engaged in lively conversation, their laughter and camaraderie capturing the energy of a trio destined to appear together on the silver screen. They were joined by singer Ciara, who greeted them with a warm embrace.

A Stellar Front Row

Stewart was not the only notable figure in attendance. "Industry" star Myha’la Herrold, "White Lotus" actress Alexandra Daddario, socialite Ivy Getty, and "Saturday Night Live" star Chloe Fineman also graced the front row.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, walked the runway this time around after attending Burch’s show last season. Burch has a knack for attracting top-tier celebrities to her front row, with previous seasons featuring actress Mindy Kaling and Olympic medalist Suni Lee.

Effortless Cool at the Museum of Modern Art

The effortless cool of the front row extended beyond the attendees to the venue itself. The Museum of Modern Art provided an elegant backdrop for Burch’s fall/winter 2025 collection.

Adriana Lima’s Triumphant Return

Adriana Lima made a grand return to the New York Fashion Week runway, once again captivating audiences with her stunning presence. Having retired from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2018, Lima gracefully circled back to the catwalk for Burch’s latest collection.

Irina Shayk, Bradley Cooper’s ex, also graced the runway, wearing a tan collared hourglass jacket and a swishy champagne skirt.

A New Generation of Models

The next generation of models also made their presence felt, with Paloma Elsesser and Alex Consani taking center stage. Consani, in particular, made history at the 2024 Fashion Awards as the first trans model to win Model of the Year.

Burch’s ‘Twisted American Sportswear’

Tory Burch’s eponymous line has always been known for its classic aesthetic, but in recent years, she has embraced a fresh and innovative approach aptly described as "twisted American sportswear." As Burch explains in the show notes, this collection explores "a second glance at classics" through subtle yet impactful twists.

Prim cardigans are given a modern edge with slashed sleeves, sweatpants are reimagined in Japanese brushed jersey, and sweaters are meticulously embroidered to resemble tweed. The collection embodies the idea of a wardrobe evolved over time, where each piece holds a special value as a well-loved and irreplaceable companion.

Knits are slouchy yet impeccably tailored, jackets are cinched at the waist and layered over A-line skirts or sporty trousers. Bag and belt charms add a touch of playful sophistication, while tasteful pops of color highlight earthy tones.

A Renaissance of Cool Girl Fashion

For next season, Burch brings back the brooch, adding a touch of elegance to lapels and dresses throughout the collection. Leather and denim jackets are revamped with a collarless version adorned with multiple pockets, creating a look that is both stylish and practical.

With her latest collection, Tory Burch solidifies her position as a master of "cool girl fashion." Her designs exude an effortless sense of style, celebrating the individuality and timeless appeal of the modern woman.
