JD Vance Advocates for Human Soul and Unborn Life at CPAC

Vice President JD Vance

At the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Vice President JD Vance delivered a powerful address emphasizing the significance of the human soul and the imperative to protect unborn life.

Fighting for the Unborn and Peace

"Whether it’s fighting for the unborn or fighting for peace and security for our citizens, I want us to be the kind of society where my kids can grow up to be virtuous young people, can be good young Christians," declared Vance. His remarks resonated deeply with the audience, many of whom share his commitment to these fundamental principles.

Virtue and Faith

Vance, a former White House adviser, emphasized the importance of pursuing virtue, particularly in the context of raising children. "That’s what our public policy is trying to do, creating the space where moms and dads can raise their children in their faith to become good young people who believe the things that I do," he said.

Religious Freedom and Parental Rights

Since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, the administration has taken significant steps to protect parental rights and religious freedom. These measures include executive orders safeguarding parental choice in education and restricting biological men from competing in girls’ and women’s sports.

The Human Soul

Beyond the protection of unborn life, Vance stressed the paramount importance of the human soul. "We shouldn’t fear death. Of course, death is a very bad thing, but there are much more. There are much more terrible things than just losing one’s life. And importantly, you could lose one soul," he warned.

Eternal Rewards

Vance urged the audience to prioritize eternal rewards over temporal ones, highlighting the Catholic faith’s emphasis on grace and God’s will. "We put our faith in the grace of God, and we try the best to do his will," he said. "And we don’t worry so much about whether we’re going to have earthly rewards. We worry about whether we’re doing right by God Almighty above."

Conversion to Catholicism

In a 2019 interview with The American Conservative, Vance shared his reasons for converting to Catholicism. "I was intrigued by the intellectual appeal of the Catholic faith," he said. "It’s a very deep and rich tradition that has a lot to say about human nature and the meaning of life."

Impact of Vance’s Message

Vance’s message resonated strongly with the CPAC attendees, many of whom are committed to the defense of the unborn, religious freedom, and the pursuit of virtue. His words serve as a powerful reminder of the fundamental values that unite conservatives and the importance of fighting for these principles in the face of adversity.
