Heavy Equipment Accident Leaves Man Seriously Injured in Bergstraße
Wald-Michelbach, Germany – A 64-year-old man operating a front-end loader in the Bergstraße district suffered serious injuries in an accident on Tuesday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred as the driver attempted to yield to oncoming traffic in Wald-Michelbach. While navigating the maneuver, the loader collided with a parked car on the side of the road, causing the heavy vehicle to overturn onto its left side.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and transported the critically injured man to a local hospital. The loader and the parked car were both removed from the roadway.
Police estimate the total property damage incurred in the accident to be approximately 30,000 euros (approximately $35,000).
