Duisburg, Germany – Motorists traversing the heavily trafficked Duisburg-Kaiserberg motorway junction will encounter numerous closures and detours commencing Thursday evening.
A40 Motorway Closure
The Autobahn GmbH des Bundes has announced the complete closure of the A40 motorway (Venlo-Dortmund) in the direction of Essen from Thursday at 9 pm until Monday at 5 am. The affected section extends from the Duisburg junction (A59) to the Kaiserberg junction.
A3 Motorway Exit Closures
From Friday onwards, the exit from the A40 to the A3 (Oberhausen-Frankfurt) towards Cologne will be subject to a prolonged closure due to the construction of several new structures.
Furthermore, on the A3 motorway in the direction of Oberhausen, both exits onto the A40 will be closed. Motorists intending to travel towards Essen or Venlo during the coming week should pay attention to diversion signs at night. The exits will be closed from Monday (February 24th) to Friday from 9 pm to 5 am each night, with traffic being diverted accordingly.
