SSW’s Ten-Point Plan for Improved Rail Services in the North
The South Schleswig Voters’ Association (SSW) has presented a ten-point plan to enhance rail services in the northern region of Germany. However, recognizing the extended timeline for the impact of infrastructure investments, the party’s sole Bundestag representative, Stefan Seidler, emphasizes the need for immediate action.
While investments in new lines and rolling stock are essential for long-term improvements, Seidler stresses that "it is not an option for us to have poor rail services in the north for such a long time." He believes that intelligent measures can be implemented now to make a significant difference.
The SSW’s proposals cover a wide range of areas, including reducing train cancellations, improving passenger information, enhancing the operational efficiency of the railway, expanding training programs, and addressing issues related to vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
