A21 Motorway Closure for Roadwork Removal between Tremsbüttel and Bad Oldesloe Nord
The Autobahn 21 (A21) towards Kiel will be completely closed for several nights during the coming week between the Tremsbüttel and Bad Oldesloe Nord junctions. The closures will affect the evenings and nights between Tuesday, February 18th, and Thursday, February 20th. The motorway will be closed between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night, according to the Autobahn GmbH des Bundes.
Reason for Closure:
The purpose of the closures is to dismantle the temporary traffic diversions that were set up for construction work and restore the original roadway configuration.
Detour Information:
For drivers heading towards Bad Segeberg and Kiel, a detour has been established. The detour will divert traffic onto the A1 and A20 motorways, with signage starting from the Bargteheide junction.
Reopening of Bad Oldesloe-Süd Junction:
From Thursday onwards, the Bad Oldesloe-Süd junction towards the south will reopen for traffic. However, there will only be one lane available in each direction until the end of March.
Background Information:
Since June 2024, a 2.4-kilometer stretch of the A21 motorway between the Bad Oldesloe Süd and Bad Oldesloe Nord junctions has been undergoing road resurfacing work. The closures this week are necessary to complete the project and restore the motorway to normal operation.
Additional Details
